Other Beliefs

Beyond the major religious traditions of the Core exist countless smaller sects, philosophical movements, mystery cults, and esoteric belief systems. While most possess relatively few followers compared to the Pantheon of Stars, the Eternal Flame, or the Blood of Titans, many have exerted significant influence upon Core philosophy, art, science, and politics throughout history.

Some are regarded as harmless intellectual traditions, while others are viewed with suspicion due to their association with fringe cults or radical explorers.

The Veil of Eternity

The Veil of Eternity teaches that reality is separated from the realm of higher beings by a metaphysical barrier known as the Veil.

Followers believe certain individuals possess the ability to glimpse beyond this boundary through visions, meditation, mathematics, or altered states of consciousness. Some sects associate Hypercomplex Numbers with humanity’s limited ability to perceive truths hidden behind the Veil.

The religion places heavy emphasis on intuition, prophecy, symbolism, and spiritual perception.

The Great Dreamer

One of the oldest surviving philosophical traditions in the Core, the Great Dreamer teaches that the universe exists within the dream of a vast sleeping consciousness.

Followers disagree on whether the Dreamer is divine, cosmic, or purely symbolic. Many interpret the belief metaphorically, viewing reality itself as interconnected layers of perception and consciousness.

The faith remains especially influential among artists, philosophers, mathematicians, and scientists interested in the deeper implications of Hypercomplex theory and temporal physics.

The Eternal Cycle

The Eternal Cycle teaches that the universe endlessly repeats through alternating periods of creation and destruction.

Two cosmic principles govern this cycle: - the Weaver, associated with creation and order - the Unraveler, associated with decay and collapse

Followers believe civilizations rise and fall endlessly across cosmic history. Many interpret the decline of the Empire and the instability of the modern Core as evidence that humanity currently exists in the later stages of a cycle.

The Beyond is often viewed within this tradition as a region where reality itself begins to unravel.

The Hollow Crown

The Hollow Crown is a highly philosophical belief system centered on themes of emptiness, uncertainty, and unrealized potential.

Followers teach that absence itself contains infinite possibility and that true understanding emerges only when individuals confront the void within themselves and the universe.

The religion has heavily influenced minimalist architecture, abstract art, and existential philosophy throughout portions of the Core.

Some sects believe the Beyond itself represents the domain of the Hollow Crown.

The Fractured God

The Fractured God tradition teaches that the universe was created when a divine entity shattered itself into countless fragments.

Every living being, world, and star is believed to contain a piece of this original consciousness. Followers seek meaning through self-discovery, artistic expression, and the pursuit of unity amid fragmentation.

This belief system remains especially popular among intellectuals, scientists, and artists seeking philosophical reconciliation between spirituality and modern physics.

The Silent Choir

The Silent Choir teaches that reality is sustained by inaudible cosmic harmonies produced by unseen entities dwelling between the stars.

Followers believe these harmonies shape gravity, time, orbital motion, and the structure of existence itself. Rituals often involve music, resonance, synchronized movement, and attempts to detect hidden cosmic frequencies through advanced technology.

The tradition has inspired major schools of music and performance art throughout the Core.

Older Myths

Beyond organized religions exist numerous fragmented myths and more ancient traditions. These stories speak of incomprehensible entities, forgotten civilizations, impossible geometries, and regions of space where reality itself breaks down. Among the most famous legends are:

  • the Yellow King
  • the Queen at the End of Time
  • the Whispering Void
  • the Traveler and the Shadow

Most citizens dismiss these tales as superstition or fringe mysticism. Nevertheless they maintain a devoted following among artists, explorers, philosophers, and isolated frontier cults.
